Ice Sculpture – The Statue of Brothers to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the signing of the armistice ending the Korean War.On 7 Feb 2013 Veterans Affairs Canada unveiled its’ annual ice sculpture in Confederation Park in Ottawa. The sculpture is intended to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the signing of the armistice ending the Korean War and is a copy of the sculpture “The Statue of Brothers” which depicts an older brother, a South Korean soldier, embracing his younger brother in a North Korean uniform, on top of a cracked dome signifying the split Korea.
