Korean Veterans Remembrance Day

Bill S-213 proclaimed that 27 July would be Korean War Veterans Day and the first of those was celebrated this last Saturday beneath a beautiful blue sky and comfortable temperatures. The main remembrance was held in Brampton but a small ceremony attended by approximately 20 Korean War Veterans was held at the National War Memorial in Ottawa as well. The ceremony was attended by MP Royal Galipeau and His Excellency the Ambassador of Korea Cho Hee-yong and outgoing Defence Liaison Officer Lee. The ceremony itself, while short, attracted a good many onlookers from the public.
