Last night (06 Feb, 2014) was the illumination ceremony for the 2014 Veterans Affairs Ice Sculpture, held in Confederation Park, Ottawa. In attendance were many veterans and a VIP party of Senator Day, MP Peter Stoffer, Parliamentary Secretary Parm Gill, CDS General Tom Lawson who laid wreaths in remembrance.
This years theme was remembering the 100th anniversary of the start of The Great War and is commemorated in the ice sculpture as soldiers boarding a troop train while leaving their loved ones behind.
