I had the pleasure to cover the Army Run 2014 for Esprit de Corps magazine today and thought I’d post a couple of the early pictures. These are not the best pictures nor those most relevant to the event but the ones that caught my eye.
The day started out overcast but warm and was expected to rain a lot. The Ill and Injured 5km run got off to a good start with Rick Hansen leading the way. Next the regular 5Km was underway and both events finished under the overcast. The Ill and Injured 21 Km got started next followed by the regular 21 km and everything looked like it was going to be fine until about an hour into the race. Then the rain started and it was heavy. But chance favours the prepared and I didn’t get wet and no equipment was damaged as I had wet weather kit for me and cameras.
>About 25,000 people participated in the various runs to raise money for military charities.
