Today I had the pleasure to be photographing the visit of the Chief of Defence from the Kingdom of the Netherlands, General Tom Middendorp. This was his first visit to Canada and he was here as a keynote speaker at the Ottawa Conference on Security and Defence. His presentation was very interesting and germane to today’s world situation but contained too many salient points for a short blog. Suffice it to say that people will be discussing his views.
Also on his agenda was a tour of the Canadian War Museum, a laying of a wreath in the Memorial Hall of the Canadian War Museum with veterans of WWII who served in Holland in attendance, and lastly, a reception with those veterans. While he had more appointments on his itinerary, those where what I covered.
While the images I took are mostly podium and tour shots, these three stood out a little more to me so I thought I’d share them
