Hi Richard

My Husband and I met you at the Weekend to Honour Korean Veterans.

Late Saturday evening my husband googled to see what pictures were posted re the events.  Only one, your photograph of Mr. S____ showing Mr. Blaney his brother’s name in the Book of Remembrance.  Even though we had been at the Museum that day we missed meeting Mr. S____ . Mr. S____ is in my father’s platoon photograph and I was able to track him down at the Cenotaph on the Sunday.

Because of your photograph I was able to reintroduce Mr. R___(visiting from Newfoundland) who was also in the platoon photo to Mr. S____ (from Washington). Neither knew the other was attending the events. They had not seen each other  in 60 years!!

Not only did your photograph capture a special moment it also created some.

Hi Richard,

I just want to compliment you on your timing with the “flash-in-the-pan” shot at the Crysler Farm on July 13th.  I was to your left that day, outside the media section, and noticed the absolute concentration you employ when working.

At first I was sure that the amber “flash-in-the-pan” was a skilled Photoshop effect, but after examining it closely, I realized that only burning and luminance levels were involved.  Well done!
